I know there are a lot of foodies out there who love spicy foods. I am one of the kind who dives into spicy Indian dishes. Friday being the time for all of us to settle down our nerves and relax. And you know I am also kind of settling down. But i need a dashing dinner to go on for Friday, and that is how I landed in this Veggie pasta in roux Now there goes in this big bowl:

  • Pasta to form the smooth bite
  • Veggies to give a crunch bite
  • Wheat flour – Milk – butter combo for the creamy luscious sauce

When i started to plan a date dinner meal, i had a color scheme which stuck in my mind.

Yep. You heard it right. Iam sort of experimenting with colors these days and that popped in my mind for preparing something which appeals my color craving. Slightly getting hyper over my color experiments, i landed up with Pure black, red shades, Orange shades and Pure white. India and indian spices is always hot with bright red colors to yellow to orange to brown

Lost colors and my hungry tummy calling out for an Italian pasta, Watching food show on fox tv whenever my eyes are open always calls for a hungry tummy and a never ending craving for food.

Veggie Pasta in roux – parboiled veggies and pasta with a creamy white sauce – Perfect Breakfast and Dinner and a No Fail Meal

  • 2 Cups Parboiled Pasta
  • 1 Carrot fine chopped
  • 1 cup French Beans fine chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • Spices:
  • ¼ teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chicken Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Mutton Masala
  • Salt as needed


  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • 1 Pinch of Pepper powder
  • 1.5 tablespoon of Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon Butter


  • VEGETABLES: Parboil or steam the vegetables
  • PASTA BOWL: Heat olive oil in a pan. Add parboiled pasta, parboiled vegetables, tomato puree, spices and salt to the pan. Toss it well so that the pasta gets coated with the spices. Allow it cook in medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally to avoid pasta getting burnt in the pan surface
  • ROUX: Heat another pan. Turn to medium heat. Add milk, salt and pepper powder and whisk fast so that no lumps are formed. Keep stirring until it reaches sauce consistency. Turn off the stove. Mix in well the butter. Pour roux on top of the Pasta


  • Serve the Pasta coated with roux in bowls
