This is Priya from priyascurrynation.com. I am feeling happy and excited to share my recipe n this space. When me and Smitha decided to do this,I was quite sure about what to share on yummyplatter.

Yummy platter — – What a lovely name! I know people are crazy for their “yummy platter“. I am very proud that I live in such country in which EACH Region have their OWN history about foods and their own variations.

I chose the recipe which is almost “forgotten recipe” recipes now a days. The recipe is originally from Kutch,Gujrat and called Kutchi aloo ( potatoes in kutchi style). This is very simple and easy recipe. I don't know why it is just forgotten. Traditionally the recipe was made on Old-classic gas stove i.e. Chula and because of this chula, recipe got an exotic smokey flavor which make this simple dish dramatic. It has also a unique flavor of asafoetida(hing). However, I made this recipe on regular gas stove. It requires boil potatoes and onions as a main ingredients.
